Love Note and Ghirardelli Chocolate Treat

Would you like to make cute little treats for Valentine's Day?  The new Scallop Tag Topper punch is the perfect tool to do the job!  Thanks to Mary Fish, I made several of these sweet treats to give to my coworkers for Valentine's Day. 

The banners were stamped with the Sale-a-Bration stamp set, Banner Blast.  They were punched using the  Sale-a-Bration Banner punch.   You can get both of these products free during Sale-a-Bration!  (You get a free product from the Sale-a-Bration catalog with every $50 purchase!)  The sentiments were from the hostess stamp set, Sweetly Framed.

I also made a cute little card to go along with the treats.  I used most of the same products but added the sentiment, "Love You" from the stamp set, Itty Bitty Banners.

 

Dimmensions for the Ghirardelli Chocolate treat holder:

1 15/16" x 5 1/2" Whisper White card stock - score at 2 5/8" and 2 7/8"

Punch both ends with the Scallop Tag Topper punch.

Vivid Vases

When I looked at the new Occasions catalog, the Vivid Vases stamp was the first thing I wanted.  There is a phrase with the stamp, but we didn't use it. (See below)

Because I used this card for a class, I decided to use markers and blender pens so that everyone wouldn't be waiting for the stamp pads and aqua painters.  I just love how much control you have when you use blender pens.  Everyone was also able to color at the same time because we used the aluminum foil and marker trick.  (Use the markers to color areas on aluminum foil and use blender pens to grab the ink from the foil.)  The colors we used were Smoky Slate, Tangerine Tango, Island Indigo, Gumball Green, and Daffodil Delight.

The Watercolor Wonder DSP is a new product too.  It is such a beautiful combination of paper!  The catalog doesn't do it justice.

Spiral Flowers Original Die

Watch this video to learn the easiest way to make a perfect paper flower. Paper flowers are beautiful but cutting them by hand is tedious, especially if you're making a bunch. Now you can cut a flower in seconds with the Spiral Flower Originals Die and Big Shot. And you can cut multiple sheets at one time or use different materials. After the flowers are cut, just roll and adhere.

The New Tag Topper

Watch this video to learn how to make tags of any length with just one punch. Most tag punches punch out the entire tag, so you're limited to one size. Now there's a tool that punches out just the top of a tag so you can choose how long you want your tag to be. It also punches out the hole for a tassel or thread so you don't have to do it separately. It's available in two top designs: scalloped and angled.

I'm back from my blogging hiatus!

I know you haven't heard from me in awhile.  I needed a little break from stamping after all of the holiday craziness.  My son is home from college and I really wanted to spend time with him and my family!

So much is going on, so be on the look out for some updates from me. (Yes, Karen....I am really going to try to blog more!  Did you stop checking my blog?) :)
