DSP Colors

Do you have any retired Designer Series Paper and are wondering what colors are in the paper?  I'm always wondering!  Beginning this year, Stampin' Up! added the colors on the back sheet of cardboard but that wasn't always the case.  Well, your worries are over!  Amy Phelps, a Stampin' Up! demonstrator, compiled a list of all past and present DSP.  Click on this link or the image above to open the PDF that includes all of the paper and colors.  Thank you Amy!

Wishing You

This is another Christmas card we made at my Getting Reading for Christmas card class.  Doesn't it pop with the designer paper?  It was so simple to make.  The DSP is from the Season of Style Designer Series paper pack and the stamps are from the new set, Wishing You.  The set also includes a saying for the inside of the card and a little gift stamp for the envelope.  The presents were inked with Cherry Cobbler, Gumball Green, and Crumb Cake markers.

Snow Day

This card can be used for many occasions during the cold months.  I stamped the face with Stazon and the scarf with Tempting Turquoise.  I then stamped the snowman with Versa Mark and used a Versa Mark marker to cover the part of the scarf that didn't get any Versa Mark on it before embossing with clear embossing powder.  I sponged Pool Party and Tempting Turquoise over the card stock in a diagonal pattern.  (I saw a similar card using snowflakes instead of a snowman on a demonstrator's blog but I don't remember who she was.)  I used the Northern Fluffy embossing folder before adhering it to Tempting Turquoise card stock.  I finished it off with a hat, sentiment and rhinestones!

NEW Envelope Punch Board

My new envelope punch board arrived yesterday!  Be on the lookout for a post featuring some envelopes tonight!  (First I have to do laundry and clean!)

Okay, I had to try it!  Below are some images.  The 3 1/4" x 3 1/4" envelope I made today, the larger envelope my mom made at convention.  It literally took me less than 2 minutes to read the directions, cut the paper, and make the envelope.  Easy peasy!

Joyful Christmas

This is one of the cards that we are going to make at my August 28th Christmas card class.  It uses the sentiment and poinsettia from the stamp set Joyful Christmas.  It is such an easy card to create.  Both the stamped image and sentiment were embossed with Stampin' Up!'s gold embossing powder.

Mini Waterfall Scrapbook

Tonight, we made mini scrapbooks and little gift holders.  I saw these in a video that Kelly Gettelfinger posted on our demonstrator website.  Below are the directions for both.

Score a piece of 12" x 12" card stock at 3", 6", and 9".  Turn 1/4 turn and score at 4" and 8".  Cut out the 4 panels that have the "X" on them. Cut up to the 4" score line in the remaining section that wasn't cut out.  (Where the white dashed lines are.)

Adhere the two middle panels in the top row. (The panels with the green checks in the diagram.)  Use a combination of Tombow liquid and snail.

Fold and embellish with 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" pieces of Designer Series Paper.  Punch a piece of 3/4" x 4" card stock with a border punch and adhere it to the back of the front cover.

You can make a gift card holder with  the remaining piece of card stock.  Fold in half on the 3" score line.  Cut diagonally to cut out a V.  Unfold and fold on the 4" score line.  Adhere the two long sides together to make a pocket for a note and gift card.

Summer Scrapbook Class

Last night, we made these scrapbook pages for our summer pictures.  Daffodil Delight was used for the 12 x 12" pages.  The other colors are Crumb Cake, Old Olive, Real Red, and Island Indigo.  The cute little flip flops are a stamp that was just for demonstrators to purchase at last year's convention.  Below are some illustrations to help you recreate the punch art.  Click on the image for images of the punches.

DSP Cards

Below are two of the three cards we made at my DSP (Designer Series Paper) card class.  Using DSP is a great way to make a quick card.
The design on the card is Washi tape.  It is easy to use and makes it easy to decorate a card!  The DSP is inside the envelope so it would match the card.
